Mod of the Month – January 2024
Doing what you love is a theme at ModSquad, and our most recent Mod of the Month is grateful to be doing just that. He found a job that he loves, a project he’s passionate about, and a manager who encourages greatness. In keeping with his theme of gratitude, we’re thankful to introduce the incredible José M.!
In 2021, José was already working remotely, but wanted a new challenge. A friend suggested he apply to ModSquad; it was a perfect opportunity.
José has plenty to say about his time here. “I appreciate the friendly atmosphere, remote work flexibility, and the chance to set my own schedule.” He explains. It’s more than working remotely that makes ModSquad special to him. It’s the community and the work culture.
“People from around the world are all aiming for the same thing. To make a living from home, to continue to grow. I think that’s why we all get along so well.” He goes on to say, “ModSquad has an exceptional environment within each project team, where camaraderie and professionalism combine to create a pleasant workplace atmosphere and great success for our clients.”
José is a multi-talented dynamo who has the skills to fill a host of roles. His current project is for a gaming client with an enchanting life simulator game centered around adorable plushies. He has acted as a customer service representative, a moderator, and now offers expert engagement on their Discord server. When it comes down to it, his passion is in helping people.

I'm so proud of José! He is doing such an amazing job not only on the customer service side (where he is the spreadsheet king), but also on the engagement side in Discord. José does an amazing job with our clients. He is always willing to go the extra mile and I can not say enough great things about him.
José M. is an absolute treasure. Day in and day out, Jose is always going above and beyond, for the client and for the team. Jose is a father first, which carries over to his roles here, as he has such compassion and kindness. He always extends that family mentality to our team, making sure everyone feels cared for and appreciated. He is resolution oriented, and has never met a challenge he didn't have several ideas how to overcome. We are so lucky to have José here at ModSquad inspiring us daily.
Outside of work, José loves spending time with his family. He and his wife have a 4-year-old daughter, who he calls “My Universe” as a delightful nickname and reference to one of his favorite bands, Coldplay. To complete their happy family, they have two dogs named Lola and Eva.
